Blaklez- The Tale Of An Amazing Rapper.

AAh Yes (Blaklez's tagline), Blaklez has been in the game for years now and he only gets better with time. He is one of the artists we have in this country that can really rap and paint a vivid picture with his words. I started listening to Blaklez after one of my cousins put me on to his music and that was in 2017,the first song I listened to was "Cool Slaves" and since then I've been hooked on his music.
In my opinion he is one of the top tier lyricists we have in South Africa, I can relate to most of the content in his music and at times listening to his music can be very therapeutic. He speaks on topics that most South Africans can relate to and he also talks about challenges that people face, he doesn't shy away from certain topics like most artists do.
One thing you must respect about him is his outspokenness,he is not afraid to say what he wants to say irrespective of the consequences it may cause. He dropped an album called "Baby Brother" in 2018 and I felt it was an amazing album, in the album he covered a lot of topics from fatherhood,love, and he also has some feel good songs that will get you dancing like Saka Nyuka (featuring Cassper Nyovest). He also featured a variety of great artists like YoungstaCpt, PdotO and Zano just to name a few.


Blaklez might not get the recognition he deserves from the industry,but he definitely has support and respect from me and everyone else who listens to the amazing music he makes.

Emtee's second studio album Manado was really a great project,filled with smash hits. Had that album been marketed right it could have done amazing numbers just like his debut album Avery. He is one of the most gifted we have in South Africa, and his music speaks for itself. Usually when artists have a great debut album their second album isn't as good as their first but in my personal opinion I feel like Manado was a great second album because it showed growth in Emtee's music,it didn't sound the same as his debut album. Rouge- Queen of the New Era

I started listening to Rouge after I heard her verse on the Baddest Remix by AKA, she had one if not the best verse on the song. Everything about her verse was exceptional,the way she switched flows,languages and what she said in that verse was something special. I didn't listen to her for a while after that but when she dropped her debut album "New Era Sessions" in 2017 I was hooked again. She really showed her versatility on that album,her bars were totally amazing,every song captures your attention and makes you take note of her lyrical content. The storytelling on songs like "Celebrity" and "Sheba Ngwan'o" just to name a few are great and she paints a very vivid and great picture with her words. The Weeknd The Greatest Artist Of Our Time.

After Hours was where my journey began with the artist know as The Weeknd, from the very first moment I heard that album I instantly became a big fan, I mean sure I had heard of him before but there was something about the After Hours album that made me see him in a different light.
