FLVME The Candy Man

When FLVME,Ecco and Mellow all left the Wrecking Crew, many people including myself thought it was over for them and we would never hear anything about them again. Instead it has been the total opposite, they formed their own group called Lean Team and they have dropped more music and proved they can stand and shine without A-Reece.

Now let's talk about the Candyman album FLVME dropped all the way in 2018, that was my favorite hip-hop album of the year. I really wasn't that much of a FLVME fan,I listened to his songs that featured Reece only. So when I listened to Candyman I was really blown away and saw a whole new side to him. He really poured his heart and soul on the album and I have a feeling we still haven't seen the truly best of him yet. I liked the creativity that went into the cover art and the way the tracks were placed was something I also liked very much. Ecco also came through with fire verses on the songs he was on and Mellow killed the ad-libs as he always does. The album contained features from great artists, some of them I didn't even know about them artists such Malachi_SA, Ka$h, 3two1 and Lafreshman and he also had well known artists such as Frank Casino, Zoocci Coke Dope and Ayanda Jiya. FLVME really put together a masterpiece with his debut album.

My favorite songs on the album are Oompa Loompa (intro),Home Run,Late Night, Candyman,Hold you down and Lemme Know/Outro. At such a young age FLVME has proven he has what it takes to be one of the greatest to ever come out of South Africa. He already has 2 SA HIP-HOP AWARDS so FLVME is definitely on fire and the future looks really bright for him.

Emtee's second studio album Manado was really a great project,filled with smash hits. Had that album been marketed right it could have done amazing numbers just like his debut album Avery. He is one of the most gifted we have in South Africa, and his music speaks for itself. Rouge- Queen of the New Era

I started listening to Rouge after I heard her verse on the Baddest Remix by AKA, she had one if not the best verse on the song. Everything about her verse was exceptional,the way she switched flows,languages and what she said in that verse was something special. I didn't listen to her for a while after that but when she dropped her debut album "New Era Sessions" in 2017 I was hooked again. She really showed her versatility on that album,her bars were totally amazing,every song captures your attention and makes you take note of her lyrical content. The storytelling on songs like "Celebrity" and "Sheba Ngwan'o" just to name a few are great and she paints a very vivid and great picture with her words. The Weeknd The Greatest Artist Of Our Time.

After Hours was where my journey began with the artist know as The Weeknd, from the very first moment I heard that album I instantly became a big fan, I mean sure I had heard of him before but there was something about the After Hours album that made me see him in a different light.
